This week, we received an inquiry from a Southeast Asian client for granite crushed stones (5–20mm), around 3,000 tons.
Our quarry in Northeast China mainly mines granite blocks, and the by-products are processed into crushed stones, which are usually supplied to the domestic construction market. Exporting this material is not common for us, but this project opened a new possibility.
The client previously sourced from UAE suppliers, but due to recent disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, they are now considering alternative supply from China.
We initially proposed a container-based solution with bulk bag packaging and shipment via Dalian Port. However, due to the low value of the product, packaging and logistics costs are relatively high.

The client then suggested a bulk shipping solution without packaging, using open-top containers and a chartered bulk vessel to reduce costs. Since this is our first time evaluating this approach, we are carefully reviewing its feasibility.
We will continue discussions and work towards a practical and cost-effective solution.
