How to seal marble tiles

Marble tiles are a beautiful and elegant addition to any home, but they require proper care and maintenance to keep them looking their best. One important aspect of maintaining marble tiles is to ensure they are properly sealed to prevent damage and stains.

To begin, it's important to choose the right type of sealant for your marble tiles. There are various types of sealants available, including topical and penetrating varieties. Topical sealants sit on the surface of the tile, while penetrating sealants seep into the pores of the marble. The latter is generally considered more effective, as it provides better protection against stains.

Before applying the sealant, it's essential to clean the tiles thoroughly. Any dirt or debris left on the surface can impact the effectiveness of the sealant, so it's important to use a gentle cleaner and a microfiber cloth to remove any residue.

Once the tiles are clean, it's time to apply the sealant. Begin by pouring a small amount of the sealant onto the surface of the tile and spreading it evenly with a paintbrush or roller. Be sure not to leave any excess sealant on the surface, as this can create a hazy appearance.

Allow the sealant to dry completely before walking on the tiles or placing any furniture back in the room. It's important to note that sealants do wear over time, so it's recommended to reapply the sealant every few years to ensure continued protection.

Though the different sealant types are quite different in prices. Our Japanese orders need AD adhensive, which is the best one, however it is crazy expensive in cost. Some selant is cheap, but the effect is not so good as Japanese one. You can see the following photo of good effect sealant for Japan project.

By following these steps, you can ensure your marble tiles remain beautiful and protected for years to come.
