The cumulative transportation volume of the "Silk Road Shipping" stone route has exceeded 8 million tons
On the morning of June 26th, 32800 tons of stone were successfully unloaded from the "Green Pass" ship into Xiamen Port's Haixiang Port, marking the official breakthrough of the first "Silk Road Shipping" stone route's cumulative transportation volume of over 8 million tons.
Xiamen Port is an important hub for global stone trade. According to statistics from Xiamen Customs, in the past three years, the import volume of stone materials in Xiamen Customs District has reached 41.96 billion yuan, accounting for 83.5% of the national total. The superior geographical location, first-class port business environment, specialized dock service level, and strong stone industry agglomeration effect have made Xiamen Port the main logistics channel for the "Silk Road Shipping" stone route.
It is reported that the "Silk Road Shipping" stone route connects ports such as Kakinda Port, Kandla Port in India, and Xiamen Port , covering a total distance of over 3000 nautical miles. Among them, Xiamen Port undertakes nearly 70% of the cargo volume on this route. After the stone raw materials arrive at Xiamen Port, they are quickly cleared and transported to the nearby Quanzhou processing base for processing. The finished products are then sold to more than 130 countries and regions around the world.
