I have encountered many clients who come to consult about the stone industry and often struggle to distinguish some professional terms. Below, I will introduce some commonly used terms in this industry.
1. Quarry: Quarry refers to a site where natural stone (like granite, basalt, or marble) is extracted from the earth. We carefully select materials from trusted quarries to ensure premium quality for our products.

2. Raw Blocks : irregularly shaped stones directly separated from mines.

3. Raw Slabs: A slab with a certain thickness and surface that has not been treated by a circular saw, or frame saw.

4. Bush -Hammer slabs tiles: a rough faced board processed with bush-hammered machine. Bush hammered granite tile is used for anti-slip outdoor floor.
5. Flamed tiles: a rough faced decorative tile made by processing flames generated from acetylene, oxygen or propane, and liquefied petroleum gas as fuels. Mostly the flamed granite tiles are used for outdoor pavement, anti-slip.
6. Waterjet :The slabs or tiles processed by high-pressure water has small holes and pits distributed on the surface after water impact, and the natural color of the stone is basically presented.
7. Polished slabs: a slab with a smooth surface and a mirror like luster.
8. Matte tiles: a tile with a smooth surface and low luminosity.
9. Antique stone: A matte panel material made by grinding and brushing a series of stone materials. Some antique stones are first flamed and then used in a series, Grind the brush to a matte finish.
10. Thin tile: a tile with a thickness less than 15mm.
11. Thick tile: a tile with a thickness greater than 20mm.
12. Ordinary board: square or rectangular tiles.

13. Irregular shaped tiles: Non square or non rectangular tiles
14. Natural Split : A naturally textured stone formed by striking the surface with a chisel or hammer.
